EZY Wild West 23
EZY Wild West 23
9 Day trip from Sunny Coast BMW 1200 GSA & KTM 790 Down the Darling to Menindee Lakes, up through the Corner Country and back. Visited several historic shearing sheds. some historic sites. This was a camping off the bike trip. We did quite a few bush camps (tracks are edited slightly to not broadcast bush camp sites, Day 6 and Day7 particularly) Need a little confidence letting a loaded big bore dance underneath you a bit through some of the corner country sandy stuff. ANY rain and you'll have to take the blacktop roads close after little rain in this country. Trip September 23 weather was perfect 5 deg nights, high 20's days, It would be uncomfortable in the warmer months Day 2 Went to Enngonnia Races and camped (could pull up around Culgoa few camping options there. Or pub available in Enngonia) Day 3 Landsdown Rd NW of Bourke (pretty shit road lotsa gibbers but manageable) Day 6 Need about 500K fuel range or bladder. Pretty remote day loved it, bush camped (Station stays available in the area) Day 7 Bush Camp shy of the corner. (Nat park camp grounds are available with toilets in the vicinity.) Day 9 Iron Butt day home (most mortals will need to break this into 2 Days)
